Epiphany 2025, 2026 and 2027
Epiphany is celebrated with a holiday in Colombia to commemorate the journey of the magi, or wise men, who followed a shining star to visit the infant Jesus as recorded in the Bible. This holiday falls 12 days after Christmas Day.

Sometimes called “Three Kings Day”, Epiphany is the last day of the Christmas season in Colombia, but partying goes on anyway as Carnival season soon picks up where Christmas left off. While most countries observe Epiphany on 6 January, Colombia has it on the Monday following 6 January. If 6 January itself is a Monday, however, then the holiday stays at 6 January.
Children put their shoes out at night and hope to find presents in them from the three kings on the morning of Epiphany. There are many private parties, carolling bands, and big parades on this day. Many people chalk the letters CMB on their front door, which is a Latin acronym for “May Christ bless this house”.
